6 studio weeks to go - to do

I have spent time sampling the following over the 4 weeks

  1. dye on fabric
  2. reproducing sunset onto fabric using various fabrics and embellishment and then gouache on top
  3. editing and merging photographs in Photoshop to produce one surreal photograph printing onto cotton fabric using the photocopier
  4. drawing in pen, ink, watercolour and gouache
  5. learning to knit on knitting machine
I have had tutorials after each sampling with feedback to continue forward and build on what I have done.

My plan now is to look at all the samples and produce a plan for final pieces.   Off the top of my head I have the following thoughts:
  1. dye will play a large part in my final pieces as colour plays an important part in my project and I want the colours in my photographs to be represented in an abstract way
  2. printing edited photographs onto fabric pieces through my printer and embellishing them with stitch, paint (gouache and water colour)
  3. knit a large piece to represent the stones that I walked on to get onto the beach.  This may include some weave which I am to have a session on with Lidia my knitting tutor
