15th October

I forgot to say.   I was due to attend a women only course for setting up a business run by the Business Enterprise in Burton, which was free to Trent & Dove tenants.  It was postponed due to a bereavement and I got an email on Friday saying it's back on for tomorrow !   It's too short notice and I thought about it and decided I'm good a thinking about academia and written work and organising and I realised my time would be best spent creating creating creating then I can think of attending such a course as they're running frequently in our town.

Have just requested more books from Staffs library - after reading an interview with Sue Ferrari - she recommended them and the write up of them I feel will help with my project on 62 group and history of textiles

Textiles, The Whole Story, uses, meanings, significance by Beverly Gordon
The Subversive Stitch, Embroidery and the Making of the Feminine by Rozsika Parker

I have now received one of these books and it's a tough read - I've managed to scan a few pages.   It's pure text, heavy reading.
