My proposal for work until Christmas involved purchasing Adobe software and following an email to Lance for any information he had on deals for students, and after speaking to two students, I took the option of "renting" from Adobe on a monthly basis. For £15.88 a month I have the Adobe Cloud suite on my PC. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it until after Christmas but I took the plunge yesterday and have downloaded Photoshop and Illustrator. I have the option to download lots more but I don't know what most of them are used for so I will look in that, but I suspect I will be ok with what I have for now. I have entered into a contract for 12 months which is ok. I don't really want to buy a Mac so this option of rental suits me at the moment. So I have achieved one task set out in my proposal. I have been surprised at what I could remember whilst using these applications today because that was part of my proposal, to become competent using these applications.
It took hours to download the apps from Adobe. I checked first of all that my computer which is new, met the minimum requirements and it did. The download procedure is straight forward but time consuming but so far it all works ok.
